Hilario'Art: When art meets the automobile
The story of Hilario'Art
Hilario is a young French artist who graduated from a contemporary art and graphic design school. Since a young age, he has always been passionate about automobiles and art. He decided to combine these two passions to create unique and original works.
After working in several artists' studios, Hilario decided to embark on his own adventure and opened his art gallery, Hilario'Art, in 2020. His goal is to introduce his artistic universe, which combines art and automobiles, to a wide audience.
The "Collision" exhibition
On April 1, 2025, Hilario'Art is pleased to host its first exhibition, "Collision." This exhibition features Hilario's works exploring the connections between art and automobiles.
"Collision" presents a series of paintings, sculptures, and installations made from reclaimed car parts. Hilario plays with shapes, colors, and materials to create works that are both aesthetic and conceptual.
"My goal is to show that the automobile is not only a means of transportation, but also an object of art in its own right," explains Hilario. "I like to repurpose car parts to give them new life and meaning."
The works exhibited
Among the key works of the exhibition, we can cite:
"Mechanical Dance"
This monumental sculpture is composed of several car engines arranged in a way that evokes a dance. The engines appear to come to life and interact with each other, creating a hypnotic choreography.
"Collision"
This painting depicts the violent impact of two cars colliding. Hilario used acrylic paints and shards of glass to convey the violence of the collision and destruction.
"Childhood Dream"
This installation features a miniature racing car suspended in the air. Around it, children's decorative elements, such as balloons and garlands, create a dreamlike and playful world.
The Coligny Car Museum
The "Collision" exhibition will be held from April 1 to 30, 2025, at the Coligny Car Museum, a museum dedicated to the history of the automobile located in Coligny, in northern France.
"We are delighted to welcome the Hilario'Art exhibition to our museum," says the director of the Coligny Car Museum. "It allows us to offer an innovative and contemporary approach to the automobile, bringing it into dialogue with art."
The museum will also organize workshops and conferences around the exhibition, to allow the public to better understand Hilario's work and his artistic approach.
